Below are
some frequently asked questions regarding staging.
Q: What does it cost?
A: The cost for staging a vacant
property, regardless of square footage, is $250, for up to six months, or
until the property sells. Accessories include fine artwork for mantles, décor
for bookshelves, kitchens, bathrooms, wall décor where surfaces are already
prepared, and décor for existing furniture.
The cost for a “walk and talk” consultation for a lived-in property
is $100. This includes about an
hour-long evaluation and discussion, depending on the square footage, and a
follow-up report with recommendations.
We are also available as needed after the consultation for any
additional questions or concerns.
Whether we’re staging a vacant or lived-in house, we always work
with the style of the house and place just enough artwork and accessories
to make it feel spacious and comfortable.
Q: Why stage a home?
A: Staged homes have an emotional
appeal for the buyer and they tend to sell quicker and at a higher price
than a typical non-staged home. A staged home makes a better first
impression, and it helps camouflage the less attractive features of a home
while highlighting the positive qualities.
Q: How long will it take?
A: Depending upon our
availability, we will do our best to be ready whenever you are. On
the actual day of the staging, we are generally able to complete the
project in 3-6 hours.
Q: Does staging guarantee a sale?
A: Don’t we wish? No, staging is no guarantee that houses
will sell faster or for more money, but it has been our experience that
they do!
